On Friday, 16 June 2023, PublishOA.ie unveiled a snapshot of publishing on the island of Ireland, which will help the project map the current publishing landscape. The team hope that the Directory – the first digital one of its kind – will also benefit the wider publishing community of publishers, authors, readers and funders in Ireland, and boost community engagement in this important project which aims to assess the feasibility of establishing as Diamond OA publishing platform in Ireland .

The Directory will be updated periodically during the project’s lifetime, and is viewed as a good starting point that can be refined over time. It is also the first deliverable of this NORF-funded project.
