The Monitor was launched at a webinar on 20 March 2024 and will be followed by training events for Research Performing Organisations on Research Funding Organisations on how they can review and enhance their representation on the Monitor.
The Monitor is complimented by the National Open Access Monitor Ireland Report, which provides a baseline analysis of OA adoption in Ireland between 2007 and 2022. This publication reports the findings of a baseline analysis of adoption of open access in Ireland from 2007 to 2022 and proposes recommendations and is available from https://zenodo.org/records/10838956.
The National Open Research Forum would like to congratulate all involved in the development of the monitor and report which will contribute to the process of achieving 100% open access to research publications.
